Jose M. Cantu is the owner of Red & Black Engineering Group, LLC. He was raised in Uvalde, Texas and moved to San Antonio in 2004 where he has worked his entire career. He has practiced civil engineering for over 14 years in the state of Texas. He has extensive experience related to land development projects that have included multi-family, single-family, commercial, industrial, medical and sports facility developments. He consults clients during feasibility periods to deliver land plans and cost estimates to ensure that the client makes the right decision when acquiring a property with the ultimate goal of providing his client with the most return on investment, whether it be for capital gains or for public welfare. Jose has been actively involved in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) as a general member and also served on the board. He was elected into the ASCE-Younger Member Council as a Media Chair in 2014, Treasurer in 2015 and President in 2016. As a council member, he helped organize fundraisers such as the ASCE-YM golf tournament as well as the setting up of the monthly PDH eligible presentations to all members of the engineering community. He has also attended the ASCE Multi-Region Leadership Conference (MRLC).

JC is a Zaragoza, Coahuila Mexico, native with over six years of professional experience since graduating from Texas A&M-Kingsville with a Bachelor Degree of Science in Civil Engineering. JC’s responsibilities include land planning, studies, plat preparation/processing with governmental agencies, engineering reports, construction management and civil infrastructure design (Utility layout), drainage reports, WPAP Reports, and TIA Level 1.
As a professional geologist, Tim has been involved in mining, geotechnical, and materials testing consulting. He is a graduate of The University of Texas San Antonio and has worked all over Texas throughout his career. He offers professional environmental consulting services for environmental due diligence, project planning, and pre-acquisition environmental assessments for real estate brokers, architects, lawyers, engineers, contractors, and property managers.
Vivian Diaz is a UTSA graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing & Communication. As Red & Black’s Marketing Coordinator, she is the physical extension of our business. Vivian is responsible for Red & Black’s public relations, community outreach, digital marketing, and direct marketing. Please contact Vivian for any inquiries related to her marketing role.
